In The Turing Test, players take on the role of Ava Turing, an engineer for the International Space Agency — and they’ll need to use every last ounce of their ingenuity if they’re to solve the puzzles littered through their surroundings, and the broader mystery of the research base that they’re stationed on. Gamepedia and the game’s developer, Bulkhead Interactive, and pleased to announce the Official The Turing Test Wiki.

The Turing Test demands that players master two complementary tools; their brain, and their Energy Manipulation Tool. The EMT is used to take control of intelligent machines, manipulate large structures, and generally solve puzzles — but you’ll need to rely on good old gray matter to figure out how these abilities should be exercised.

This is a game with layers; on the surface, you’re solving environmental puzzles in an unfamiliar setting, but there’s a deeper level of intrigue at play. Like Bulkhead Interactive’s previous release, Pneuma: Breath of Life, there’s a rich narrative that’s skilfully intertwined with gameplay.

The tests that Ava Turing faces raise questions about the differences between man and machine. Players will have to consider what it means to be human if they’re to get to the bottom of what exactly is being studied at the inscrutable ISA base on Europa.

The Turing Test is scheduled to release on August 30, and is available to pre-order now via Steam. To find out more about this intriguing first-person adventure, check out the game’s official website — and don’t forget to take a look at the Official The Turing Test Wiki.
