Inventory management is a huge obstacle in No Man’s Sky. When you’re constantly collecting resources, it’s easy to run out of storage space pretty quickly. We’ve already shown you how to get 48 inventory slots in your starship for free. Now, we’re going to tell you exactly how to get 48 slots in your exosuit. It’s going to take some units and some time, but it’s well worth the effort.

1. Get some units.

Maxing out your exosuit’s inventory requires a pretty penny, but there’s one thing to keep in mind. Even if you only upgrade your suit a bit at a time, those extra inventory slots will allow you to carry more resources, which in turn will allow you to earn more units each time you go to sell on the market.

Once you’ve saved up a decent amount of credits, it’s time to head to a nearby planet.

2. Make a ton of bypass chips.

You can craft Bypass Chips using a blueprint with Iron and Plutonium. You’re going to need a lot of them.

3. Head to a signal beacon.

You can easily locate a signal beacon from the orange beam it shoots into the air.

4. Locate drop pods.

Once you’re at the signal beacon, make sure the bypass chip is in your exosuit inventory. Use the chip on the beacon and select “shelter.” If the beacon shows you a shelter, just ignore the results and repeat the process. You’re not looking for shelter – you’re looking for drop pods. Keep searching for drop pods until you have around 3 drop pod waypoints. The game may glitch if you have any more than 3 waypoints, so keep that in mind.

5. Go to the waypoints.

At each waypoint, spend units to upgrade your exosuit. Make sure to hit the save flag, or a later signal beacon may guide you back to the same drop pod. Every time you spend units on the exosuit, it’ll receive another storage slot.

6. Rinse and repeat.

It’s estimated that it’ll cost around 6 million units to completely upgrade your exosuit, but, remember – you don’t have to do it all at once.

You can learn more about exosuits on the No Man’s Sky Wiki on Gamepedia. Thanks to Redditor connexionwithal for this information.
