Think you could survive a horror movie scenario? Dead by Daylight will put that theory to the test, with a 4v1 multiplayer experience that delivers high-octane excitement and complete terror in equal measure. This is the best time to jump into the game, as the developers, Behaviour Digital, have just released new content, and Dead by Daylight is free to play this weekend. To celebrate, we’re pleased to present the Official Dead by Daylight Wiki, the ultimate source for learning more about survivors, killers, and more.

In Dead by Daylight, players can take on one of two very different roles: a vicious killer or one of the unlucky victims. One participant in each game is chosen to murder indiscriminately, while the rest are forced to use a different set of skills to preserve their own well-being.

There are currently four map locations in the game, each one inspired by classic horror movies. The Macmillan Estate is a sprawling property with a sordid past, Coldwind Farm is an agricultural labyrinth with plenty of secluded corners to hide away in, and Autohaven Wreckers is a scrapyard that hides dark secrets — and they’re all equally dangerous. The newest location, Crotus Prenn Asylum, was just added today with the latest patch. Each of these map locations (or realms) contain different maps, all available for viewing on the Official Wiki page.

There’s also four killers in the game so far: The Trapper, The Wraith, The Hillbilly, and the newest killer – The Nurse. Expect different gameplay depending on who you’re playing as — for instance, The Trapper likes to set bear traps around a level and cause his prey to set them off, whereas The Hillbilly has more success revving up his chainsaw and racing toward enemies in a frenzy.
