A nuclear apocalypse has killed billions, and those that are left have traveled below the surface — can you survive alongside your family in a cramped underground refuge? Sheltered casts players as one of the last humans left alive, testing them with challenging gameplay and some powerful ethical dilemmas. Gamepedia and the game’s developer, Unicube Studios, are pleased to announce the Official Sheltered Wiki.

In the world of Sheltered, life changed irreversibly once the nuclear bombs began to drop. A task like getting to work on time might have seemed important in a time of peace, but priorities have shifted considerably since then.

Post-apocalyptic life is all about staying alive. Whether you’re heading out to the surface to collect resources, or making sure that family members get along within the shelter, every single decision you make in the game could impact whether your characters live or die.

Here’s where the unique set-up of Sheltered really comes into play. The characters you’re put in charge of aren’t just random survivors that are forced together because of apocalyptic circumstances — they’re a family. Anyone who’s played The Oregon Trail will be well aware that familial bonds make a dangerous situation all the more tense.

If you want your family to survive this bleak vision of the future, you’ll have to monitor food and water rations, each member’s mental well-being, and everyone’s level of fatigue – all while preventing any deadly illnesses from invading your bunker. Even then, you’re going to have to brave the dangers of the surface sooner or later.
