A colossal, largely deserted space station drifts through the cosmos toward its destination — a mysterious site known only as the Evacuation Point. InSomnia is a new retro-futuristic RPG about the future of mankind, where hidden layers of reality keep players guessing as to what is real and what is merely a manipulation. Gamepedia and the game’s developer, MONO, are pleased to announce the Official InSomnia Wiki.

By the time that players enter the world of InSomnia, the enormous space station that acts as the setting for much of the game has been travelling towards the Evacuation Point for four hundred years. Over that time, large swathes of the craft have become unusable, and they have come to be known as “The Dump.” However, there are other areas that haven’t been accessed in decades.

The survivors of this long and difficult journey hold out hope that they will be able to restart society once they reach the Evacuation Point. To that end, they’ve established “URB-e,” a manned sector of the station that attempts to keep some kind of grip on order and civility.

Your relationship with other survivors and your reaction to the overarching goal of reaching the Evacuation Point will play a major role as you experience InSomnia. The development team has set out to create a multilayered game about a living universe that players will want to know more about. As you learn more about individual characters and society as a whole, you should begin to get some idea about how humanity reached this desperate state.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, InSomnia is scheduled to release before the end of 2016.
