Stash wants to be an MMO about you. Built by developers in the business of making compelling online worlds for over 20 years, Stash lets you build your character the way you want, explore the world how you choose, and make your mark in the way most meaningful to you. It’s old school in its own ways, and entirely new in others — in other words, it’s an MMO like few others.

To start, you can build your avatar through a character customization system with different races, cosmetics, heritages, and classes. The classes — Elementalist, Healer, Hunter, and Warrior — all let you take on challenges in different ways through turn-based combat. When you delve into dungeons you see the action as you would a tabletop game, guiding your miniature character around traps and enemies, and making strategic choices when it comes time to fight.

Your reward from those adventures is new loot to fill your stash, from new armor and weapons to all manner of crafting items and resources. Building your own stuff is the true heart of Stash, with all the best gear being crafted rather than found, and player merchants playing a big role in the game’s economy.

The biggest way you’ll be showing off your progress, however, is through your Base of Operations — or BOO. Starting from a simple bedroll, your BOO will grow in size and coolness as you upgrade it, eventually becoming a fully-customizable fortress perfect for storing all your finds. You can build out your BOO how you want, adding furniture, new rooms, and more as you create the perfect home.

Stash offers a big sandbox, built more on what you want to accomplish than scripted quests and goals. Players dictate how the world grows, with the community and clans shaping how things move forward.

Best of all, Stash is free-to-play on Steam, meaning you can try this sandbox MMO for yourself right now. For more information, be sure to check out the Official Stash Wiki, especially for help getting started.
