Between the 8th and 13th centuries, Europe was a blaze with the fires of war. Nations and cultures fought for land, resources, and simple supremacy in an era that has come to define medieval warfare and shaped our understanding of European history for centuries to follow. Destructive Creations and 1C Company hope to capture that period of strife, and the warriors who lived in it, with their new real-time strategy game, Ancestors Legacy.
Putting you in the mud caked boots of four different European factions — Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German, and Slav — Ancestors Legacy tasks players to use the full weight and breadth of its tactical combat options to find victory in single player and multiplayer modes. You’ll have to use terrain and environmental elements to your advantage in combat, but you’ll be doing more than simply crossing swords. Resource management and base management are also important factors in finding victory too. But when the battle begins, thanks to the power of the Unreal Engine 4, the grisly bloodbath that is the game’s the large scale, squad based battles look great.
