Just a few short days ago, we announced our partnership with Visionary Realms, bringing the Official Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Wiki to Gamepedia. We also published our dev interview between Gamepedia, Curse and Visionary Realms’ developers and legendary names in the industry, Brad McQuaid and Salim Grant. Since then, Visionary Realms has released numerous noteworthy updates through their Kickstarter campaign and we’re thrilled to discuss everything that has happened!

First, Pantheon has teamed up with Shroud of the Avatar for collaborative crowd-funding! Shroud of the Avatar, a new game from none other than the fabled Richard “Lord British” Garriott’s studio, Portalarium, is now in a partnership with Visionary Realms. While Shroud’s Kickstarter has been successfully backed, its website offers pre-orders for the game. Pledge at the Adventurer tier or higher at Shroud’s website, and the Fallen’s Special tier or higher at Pantheon’s Kickstarter for a cloak in both games! Your cloak in Shroud will bear a crest for Pantheon and vice versa. We were able to briefly speak with Brad McQuaid about this partnership, as well!

Gamepedia: What kind of crossover content can we expect? Will it be named mobs from one game in the other, special storylines or epic style quests, or smaller nods?

Brad McQuaid: It’s going to start with cloaks that bear the emblem of the other game.  But that’s just the beginning.  We have more in the works but it’s too early to announce at the point. Some great ideas kicking around between both teams. There’s a lot of creativity there, so who knows where this can lead?

Since Shroud’s Kickstarter is successfully over, how will they promote Pantheon? Will they allow for preorders through their website that promote Pantheon? Will Pantheon have new reward tiers added that are Shroud of the Avatar based?

Shroud of the Avatar’s Kickstarter is over, but they’re still crowdfunding on their site. The cross-game cloak is available to pledgers who back both Pantheon and SotA. They’ve got a pretty big community over there, and we all suspect that there’s a lot of crossover in our communities.

How soon can we expect Brad McQuaid’s voyage into space?

I don’t have the courage to venture into space, despite the fact that I love driving cars and riding motorcycles on the track and in the desert.  I would like to one day go up in a fighter jet, however. I wonder if Richard knows anyone that can help me out there…

What else do we have to look forward to with this partnership? Besides cross promotions and crossover content, are there any other things fans of one, the other, or both games can be excited about?

There will be, but we can’t announce it yet because the details are being worked out.  That said, we think fans of both games will be very excited. I know both Visionary Realms and Portalarium are, so I suspect it will be equally as thrilling for the community.

If you’ve already backed Pantheon on Kickstarter, you’ve received emails detailing all of the new information streaming out of San Diego. If you haven’t backed them yet, you still have time to be a part of history! In addition, now if you see a reward tier you like, but maybe there are a few other items in there you’re just not sure you need, Pantheon now offers a la carte pledging! Choose your reward tier and make an add on pledge at the price point of what you want to add on and get exactly the rewards you want. To learn more, see this update on Kickstarter.

Another update announced that Senior Artist Vu Nguyen had previously scrapped Sunken Sanctum, the first dungeon design that we’ve seen. Sunken Sanctum was rebuilt anew and we got to see breathtaking screenshots from the new version. Having such gorgeous images show up in your inbox is reason alone to back Pantheon on Kickstarter!

Don’t forget that after you’ve backed Pantheon on Kickstarter and have pledged to Shroud of the Avatar for your sweet cloaks, the official wiki always has room for new contributors and editors! From correcting a misspelled word to entering the latest class release, the Pantheon Wiki is created for and by the community.
