Iguana Mercenary’s Market Dominion is a casual indie business sim game that places you at the head of a burgeoning company that needs a little nudge in the right direction. You need to create a strong, formidable network around your company so that you may subsequently perform a full market takeover. This includes eliminating anyone who stands in your way in the process, and controlling over 250 unique states that you must totally control by means of market domination. No pressure, right?
At the beginning of each game, you’ll get a special modifier to give you a bit of an edge over the competition, whether this comes by way of logistical prowess, marketing, or simple popularity. From here, you’ll have to take your starting modifier and build upward. You’ll need to hire Specialists to help you excel in the other areas you don’t have a head start in, and they can be used to surprise your opponents (the ones who would underestimate you) as well.
You’ll have to keep your wits about you, even if you think you’ve got it all figured out. Remember, it’s the brink of the Cold War, and society isn’t exactly stable at the moment. You’ll have to navigate over 40 different events like the Olympics, scientific breakthroughs, and a smattering of other happenings that you’ll have to come out on top of if you want to succeed, combined with meeting the goals presented to you in-game and making a plan so you can truly be the very best at what you do.
