The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics launches today! Developed by BonusXP and published by En Masse Entertainment, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is exactly what it says on the tin – a turn-based tactics RPG set within The Dark Crystal universe where players lead a fledgling resistance of Gelfling against their oppressive overlords known as the Skeksis.
In The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, players will progress through more than 50 unique battles where they will recruit new allies along the way. Players can customize these allies by assigning them jobs, modifying their abilities, and outfitting them with equipment to increase their effectiveness. There is a total of fourteen playable characters within the game which include familiar faces from both the classic Dark Crystal film and the new Netflix original series.
Even though The Dark Crystal has had a cult following since the original film released in 1982, it’s completely okay if you know very little about the world and story. Set within the vibrant fantasy world of Thra full of mystical creatures from faraway lands, a race of innocent beings known as the Gelfling are consumed for their life essence by the nefarious bird-like Skeksis. In Age of Resistance Tactics, players are tasked with uniting the seven different Gelfling clans in a rebellion against the Skeksis to break free of their oppressive rule.
