It’s safe to say that Aderyn’s Cradle has had an interesting development history. Although a Kickstarter campaign for the game was unsuccessful in reaching its financial goals, the buzz it generated for the game was very positive and Mojo Game Studios vowed to keep working on it. In the months since then they’ve been keeping at it, and the game is currently slated for a Summer 2016 release. We’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Mojo Game Studio to support the Official Aderyn’s Cradle Wiki, creating a centralized resource for all of the information about the game!
So what’s Aderyn’s Cradle all about? Well, let’s find out.
So, Aderyn’s Cradle is an open-world fantasy adventure game set in the mystical realm of Anora. Exiled from your homeland, you will find yourself in the center of a three-way battle between humanity, the gods, and the very world around you, as you decide through your actions who will claim ultimate ownership of this foreign land. You will explore this vast world as you hunt for an item known only as the Cradle, a powerful artifact that will usher the return of Aderyn, the god of creation and free will.
Picking from one of five different classes, Aderyn’s Cradle focuses on first-person melee combat. Mojo’s design team has built a combat mechanic that takes into account things like a weapon’s weight, and where your last strike landed on your enemy. Depending on what you’re attacking with and where you hit your enemy, you’ll be able to perform free-flowing combos that will cut any foe down to size. As you progress, you’ll unlock armor augments that can add new perks and effects to your combat abilities, making you even deadlier in a fight.
