Minimum, the stylized third-person shooter in which massive humanoid-shaped blocks go to war against each other, has been a part of the Steam Early Access for quite some time. Well, “has” may be the inappropriate word for it – had is a much more appropriate term, as Human Head has announced that the game has exited Early Access and is now a full, feature-complete title!

The announcement was made by Human Head‘s Norm Nazaroff, who highlighted how the company has worked closely with Minimum‘s passionate community throughout Early Access to make improvements to the game.

Since launching Early Access, we’ve continually worked with our passionate community to improve Minimum ’s development and use Early Access the way it was meant to, getting player feedback to create maps, fix balancing and prioritize new features to make Minimum a gaming experience unlike any other… Our players are passionate and we’ve been honored by their dedication to help make a solid game. We believe now that Minimum has officially released many more gamers will discover why the game’s fans have been so passionate about the genre-bending title.

Minimum
has had a colorful history. The game was originally under development by TimeGate Studios, who were also working on another game that ultimately became Aliens: Colonial Marine. TimeGate ultimately shuttered, and Human Head found itself taking over development on the game. Rather than let it slip off into the abyss, Human Head took the game by the reins, completed the vision that TimeGate had aimed for, and turned it into the game you see today.

A plethora of “launch features” were also announced, which introduced a new jungle-themed map, two new weapons, a tutorial against bots, cosmetic customizations for items and player skins, and a new co-operative “Horde Mode.” This new game mode will have players teaming together to survive against wave after wave of enemies, defending their territory for as long as they can hold out before being overwhelmed.

Minimum is now available on Steam for $4.99 through September 17th, before returning to its regular price of $9.99.
