The beauty of indie games is that you will see things that you never would have ever imagined before, lo and behold, somebody else shows it to you. Case in point: Magicmaker from Kirkland developers Tasty Stewdios. You see, Magicmaker is a 2D platforming dungeon-crawler where you focus on creating more righteous spells than you know what to do with.

Yeah – that sounds pretty righteous.

Magicmaker offers you an incredible amount of freedom in crafting your own spells, with well over 100,000 different combinations of abilities that you can utilize. Fire, Ice, Rain, and everything inbetween are at your fingertips. But having a 100,000-plus spells isn’t worth much if you have nothing to use them on, right? Well, not to fear! You’ll be facing off against untold numbers of foes as you explore a nearly endless number of different zones.

Oh yes. Magicmaker features zones will take you across five different themed areas, but each individual dungeon is randomly generated. Not only will this ensure that your experience is never the same two times around, but it also lets you explore and experiment as you make your way through the game. Why you’re exporing these caves is simple: treasure. You can discover all sorts of loot in the game, including several powerful artifacts that will make your magic much stronger.

Magicmaker launches in just a few day, on September 22nd. You can learn more about the the game through its Steam page, as well as through the Official Magicmaker Wiki. On the wiki you’ll be able to find information about the different spells you can cast, the various enemies, numerous pieces of treasure, and vibrant zones. You can also talk about the game with other fans through our Gamepedia Forums.

Yes, we have forums now. They’re pretty rad. As is Magicmaker.
