n the future, a war is being waged for control of the planet Eden. The fate of the planet rests in your hands as you take control of a squad of elite soldiers in Tactical Heroes, a squad-based, turn-based tactical strategy game from eRepublik Labs. Tactical Heroes launched just recently for iOS, and with it comes the launch of the official Tactical Heroes wiki.

Somewhere in the far-distant future, humanity has discovered the alien-infested world of Eden. You and your team of elite soldiers have been dispatched to eradicate the alien scourge from the planet and claim the world for your homeland. However, you aren’t the only crew on the planet. Other nations are also looking to stake their claim to the planet, and only through defeating these other squads will you be able to reign supreme.

Tactical Heroes is centered around tactical turn-based combat, where positioning and numbers are key to victory. With each battle, the heroes you recruit to your squad earn experience, which you can then spend to upgrade their combat proficiency and make them even more dangerous. In addition to taking the fight to these other nations, you’ll also be on the defense as you build a base and design impenetrable defenses.

Now, if you think that you’re only going to be testing yourself against the AI, you’d be sorely mistaken. In addition to a challenging single-player campaign, you will be going against rival nations commanded by living, breathing people from around the globe. They are all after the same thing you are – control of Eden, and are working towards that end just as you are. You can also challenge your friends on Facebook, as well as Game Center, to see who is the superior commander.

You can find Tactical Heroes on the iTunes Store for both iPhone and iPad, and the game can be downloaded and played for free. You can also learn more about the game by visiting the official Tactical Heroes Wiki, which will give you more information about the different aliens, rival nations, and the evil M-Corp.
