MOBA tactics meet PvP-focused MMO in Das Tal, an upcoming game from Fairytale Distillery. The game has three main pillars: meaningful conflict, skill-based combat, and constantly changing worlds. On October 31, the game will be launching a nine-day test for select individuals. Gamepedia has partnered with the developers to present the Official Das Tal Wiki, a growing resource for learning more about the game.

The three pillars of the game are outlined below:

  • Meaningful Conflict – PvP becomes high-risk and high-reward in Das Tal, with open PvP and Full Loot. Your inventory, your equipment, and even your clan’s settlement are at risk when engaging in combat.  All gear in the game is able to be crafted by players and can be replaced.
  • Skill-Based Combat – While equipment is important in any game, Das Tal allows highly-skilled players the chance to outplay an enemy that may be better geared. Natural controls, friendly fire, and vision warfare allow players to use advanced tactics and wit in battle.
  • Constantly Changing WorldsDas Tal will support hundreds of semi-randomly generated worlds with unique geography and rules. Game worlds are time-boxed, meaning they will only run for a set duration (around one to three months). Worlds will end in massive events.

Das Tal’s skill system allows you to customize your characters to your unique play style. There are a limited amount of skill points available, but they can be allocated however you wish. You could have a wide range of moderate abilities or a handful of extremely powerful attacks. You can also boost your preferred play style in the game by customizing values such as speed, health, and cast time on each piece of armor you craft.

The game’s open world allows you to explore and battle at your own pace, but there are a myriad of events to participate in, from collecting bounties to examining meteor crashes. One of the main aspirations of Das Tal players are settlements. These defensive structures allow you to craft the highest tier items and train abilities to their maximum potential. Settlements will be highly sought after, so beware – someone may decide to raid yours!

Das Tal’s upcoming test will begin on October 31 and run for nine days. If you’d like to participate in the event, you can sign up to become an alpha tester and hope to receive an invite. Additionally, the Vanguard Development Supporter Pack grants you access to all Das Tal alpha tests, as well as exclusive in-game artifacts.
