Just when you think Arie Luyendyk Jr. finally picked the woman of his dreams on the Season 22 finale of The Bachelor, he pulled a switcheroo in what is now considered one of the most shocking moments in Bachelor history.

The racecar driver told both Lauren Burnham and Becca Kufrin that he was in love with them during fantasy suites last week but ultimately chose the latter as the winner during the three-hour season finale on Monday.

Arie made it clear all season long that he was looking for a wife, and so the controversial bachelor proposed to Becca with a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring after the final rose ceremony in Peru.

But as it turned out, Arie may not have been as ready as he thought. After the not-so-happy couple rode off together into the sunset, Arie spent some time alone after filming and apparently started to regret his decision.

Our bachelor revealed that he was unable to get Lauren out of his mind in the two months after the finale was shot, and decided he needed to try to make things work with her. Unfortunately, he still had that pesky fiancée situation to deal with.

Arie met up with Becca to tell her he was breaking things off in a speech that seemed to lack much sympathy for the situation he put her in. She cursed and cried. And so, Becca went from being the first to have a solo date with Arie to being the last woman dumped by him.

Fans will have to tune in tomorrow to see how things end up with Arie and Lauren B., the woman he sent home in Peru.
