Fandom is coming to MCM Comic Con this month, where we’ll be auctioning off some very special items for charity. Ever wanted a Wukong model? A LEGO Millennium Falcon? A superabundance of Pokémon cards? We’ve got all manner of sweet loot and exclusive merch you likely can’t find anywhere else.

To celebrate the launch of eBay Live, eBay will be hosting live auctions throughout MCM Comic Con, London, at the Excel Centre. If you’re unfamiliar with eBay Live, you can join other fans to watch livestreams of auctions where you can bid on cool gear, probe sellers about the history and condition of the items, and salivate over extremely rare items you’ll be able to afford one day – all in real time!

Livestreams are great, but you can’t get more live than real life, and at MCM this year, you can come check out the eBay streamers and influencers on stage to witness the auctions in person. You can also check out a world-first AI photobooth to create and print a custom playing card featuring your delightful mug, and learn all about how eBay Live works. Come to the South Hall of the Excel Centre and look out for the conspicuous eBay banner hanging over the stage.

Fandom will be taking over the eBay stage on Saturday, May 24th, from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm, where we’ll be auctioning off some very special items, with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We’ll be taking over Brotherhood Games’ eBay Live account with Brotherhood Games’ own Michael Loizou joining us on stage! What’s more, we’ve got gaming and tabletop expert, Johnny Chiodini (who you might know from DMing the Oxventure D&D series), joining us for the event. Here’s what you need to know.

What’s Going on?

Johnny Chiodini and Fandom experts will be on stage to discuss their favourite IPs and let loose the plethora of knowledge they usually have to keep locked up all day. From Star Wars fan theories to anime lore, even fans of the franchises can enjoy the history, trivia, and tales about the impact of fandoms on fans’ lives.

But that’s not all, because we’ll also have a selection of merch and collectables for sale, including quick-fire auctions and rip n ship. Join us live at MCM to check out some of the items on display, or tune in to eBay Live to place bids wherever you are in the UK. You’ll be able to find some great deals on rare items, and there’s free Wi-Fi for anyone attending the show, so bidding on eBay Live while you watch us on stage is easy peasy.

All money from sales goes to the Make-A-Wish foundation, so you can feel doubly good about your purchase.

Where is it?

We’ll be at MCM Comic Con at the Excel Centre in London on May 24th from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. If you’re attending Comic Con, then keep a lookout for the eBay sign at Stand S1500, near the MCM Live stage. Even if we’re not on stage, live auctions will be happening all weekend where eBay Live sellers will be joined by special guests to auction some rare and valuable inventory.

What’s On Sale?

While we can’t give a full list of everything that’s going on sale during the stream, we can offer some sneak peeks.

Star Wars and Lego fans are going to be stoked to know one of the items we’re auctioning is a Lego Millennium Falcon. The iconic ship – from this little series called Star Wars you may not have heard of – boasts minifigures of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO from the original movies, plus Rey, Finn, BB-8, and a slightly older Han Solo from the newer movies. Open up the interior to see the seating area with Dejarik holographic game or take up the gunner’s chair. It’s the perfect item for Star Wars fans and Lego collectors, so expect competition when bidding and remember the immortal Han Solo advice: don’t get cocky, kid. Also, never tell me the odds. Also, who’s scruffy-lookin’?

On top of that, we have a selection of figurines for sale from various franchises like Wukong, Hitman, or a Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus “Terror Billy” Action Figure – still in its box (for whatever that’s worth), all at exceptional value!

For the collectors out there, we’ve also got a sealed Pokémon TCG: Unified Minds Booster Box. This hyper-rare, much-sought-after pack includes multiple packs but is also a treasured collector’s item. This is a rare opportunity to get your hands on something really special. It’s like stumbling into Mew while you still have your Master Ball – you can’t miss that opportunity!

What is eBay Live?

This isn’t your average auction; this auction ushers in the launch of eBay Live, where sellers on eBay can livestream while they auction their precious inventory. This means sellers can present their products live on camera and engage with their audience to answer any questions. Bids are updated live, and the seller can celebrate any sold items live with whatever flair of pageantry they deem appropriate. For example, sellers can sell a Pokémon Trading Card Game pack and open it live on stream to reveal to the buyer what they’ve got – or ‘rip n ship’ as the cool kids call it. It’s bidding on an auction in the most engaging and entertaining way since North by Northwest.

We’ll present a similar experience at MCM London that you can either attend in person or watch live on eBay Live from wherever you can put your feet up and sip a milky tea.

Whether you’re there to stake your claim on some excellent merch, join the discourse about your favourite IPs, or just love to watch the drama unfold, it’s all going down at the eBay Live stage. Can’t make it to MCM Comic Con in London? No problem – set a reminder to tune into Brotherhood Games’ eBay Live stream using this link, where you’ll be able to watch the action and bid on items live. Tune in at 12:30 on 24 May and don’t forget to sign up for reminders for the rest of the Comic Con action via the eBay Live platform.

eBay Live is a great way to connect with a community of collectors and have a more engaging, interactive bidding experience. It’s also more intense as you get embroiled in bidding wars with other buyers for some super rare and sought-after inventory. Only experienced, trusted sellers can sell on eBay Live, so you can be sure your purchase is legitimate! Check out eBay Live now to bid on your favourite collectables.
