Is There Another Villain in ‘Batman v Superman’?

A lot of people were surprised when the most recent trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showed off what looks to be the DCEU‘s version of Doomsday. Many fans were upset that such a reveal was used in a trailer, but was that an intentional move by Warner Bros in order to hide the appearance of another villain?

Rumors have arisen since word got out about the film adding a major set-piece towards the end of the film. Presumably, this set-piece would also act as something of a lead-in to the eventual Justice League film and could feature a new villain we haven’t seen or heard about yet? Who is this new villain?

Bizarro.

Reports are swirling that the misshapen Superman clone will show up towards the end of Batman v Superman in a big set-piece that will practically serve as a fourth act to the film. If you think about what we’ve seen (Lex Luthor getting his hands on General Zod‘s DNA in order to potentially make his own Superman), this rumor makes a whole lot of sense. Bizarro is also a very interesting villain to leave off on, seeing as he’s usually portrayed in a much more sympathetic light than some of Superman’s other foes.

If this rumor is true, it shows that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a lot more surprises in store for us than we may think. We still haven’t seen footage of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, so don’t think that the movie has spoiled all of its surprises just yet. There will be plenty to look forward to when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice lands in theaters on March 25.
