See has been a momentous show. The dystopian, post-apocalyptic Apple TV+ drama series revolves around a blind tribe, descendants of the survivors of a virus that wiped out most of humanity in the 21st century.

The date during which See takes place is centuries after that cataclysmic event, and the world has changed beyond recognition, with the power of sight now thought to be a myth. Members of the tribe — Chief of which is Baba Voss, played by Jason Momoa — believe two of the children have the mythical power of sight. The only problem is that vision – or any mention of it – is considered heresy within the wider kingdom…

After three seasons, See is about to draw to its conclusion. The final chapter will air this week and Fandom has been given exclusive access to a moving behind-the-scenes retrospective featurette leading into the Season 3 finale to share with fans. In the six-minute film, cast and filmmakers look back on their time in the show and share their thoughts and feelings about the groundbreaking series.

Jason Momoa as Baba Voss in See.

“Our goal was to make it the most respectful show, making sure that we changed the world of entertainment for people who are blind or low vision,” says co-executive producer Joe Strechay who himself is blind.

“This is the last time I’m doing a role like this, I’m gonna give it everything I’ve got,” says Momoa in the featurette.

The actor adds, “It’s a character that I can honestly say is my favourite character I’ve ever played and I know I gave everything to it and I’m going to enjoy watching it for years to come.”

Check out the video above, and watch behind-the-scenes footage of the last days of filming, as well as interviews with the cast and filmmakers who talk openly and emotionally about their experiences. The last ever episode of See is titled “I See You” and is directed by Anders Engström and written by showrunner Jonathan Tropper. The episode will air on Friday, October 14 on Apple TV+.
