Since Nintendo’s latest console arrived in March, there have been quite a few Nintendo Switch problems that have plagued users. Whether it’s Joy-Con Sync issues, screen scratching or Wi-Fi connectivity, there have certainly been a few separate issues.

The latest issue affecting Nintendo Switch users is the Dock Warp. Now, that’s not some trendy new dance move having a resurgence from the 80s. It is, in fact, a rather serious problem that has suddenly been documented on a big Reddit thread.

It’s not yet clear why the Switch units are warping in the dock, but some are speculating that it’s connected to the Switch getting too hot from extended dock usage.

A few users within the Reddit thread have speculated that the issues could be related to the Switch’s battery. However, the console’s battery is actually on the totally opposite side to this particular bulge.

However, if this is a widespread problem it could spell disaster for the latest Nintendo console. After all, this is a handheld console that connects to your TV when it’s inserted into this dock. Your Switch can be pulled out of and pushed into the dock several times a day, and people have already had issues with this process scratching the console’s screen.

Plus, if it’s reaching the kinds of temperatures needed to warp the plastic casing on the Switch, we could be looking at some serious overheating issues in the future.

The Nintendo Switch launched worldwide on March 3 priced at $299.99/£279.99, with launch titles including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildSuper Bomberman R and 1-2 Switch. It’s mostly received rave reviews from the media and consumers alike, but the talk of Nintendo Switch problems haven’t stopped since day one.

We’ve contacted Nintendo and will update this piece if we get a comment on the dock warping issues.
