With two seasons in the bag, it’s going to be an excruciatingly long wait for the next batch of Invincible episodes to arrive in the distant future. The Prime Video series, an adaptation of the excellent comic book series, follows teenager Mark Grayson as he discovers his alien heritage and powers, allowing him to join the pantheon of superheroes who protect the planet. What sounds like a fairly standard superhero plot quickly gets more complex, as dark family secrets, dangerous adversaries, and global threats put Grayson and his heroic alter-ego of Invincible to the ultimate test.

The good news is that while you’ll still have to wait a while to see the third season of Invincible, you can get a headstart right now with the comic books. Developed by Robert Kirkman (co-creator of The Walking Dead), Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the comic book series wrapped up a few years ago and you can purchase some meaty compendium editions to see what else lies in store for Invincible. At around 1,000 pages in size, these telephone book-sized collections will even help you build some muscle as you flip through them and read the entire Invincible saga. They’re also quite affordable at their regular price of $65, but they have been discounted on Amazon.

For something more manageable, you can purchase several volumes in the Invincible Ultimate Collection. These are smaller collected of around 300-350 pages each, and feature a much nicer paper quality and hardcover binding. There are twelve of these books in total to collect. Finally, there are the smaller and more traditional trade paperbacks to consider. Around 140-150 pages big on average, each one collects a single story arc for you to read and enjoy. This will be the more expensive option overall, but they stack up quite nicely on a shelf and look terrific when lined up.

You’ll also want to keep in mind that Amazon’s book prices fluctuate frequently, so the prices listed below are only accurate as of April 2024. You can stream the first season of Invincible exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
