Thorgy often felt like she was in direct competition with her Brooklyn sister Bob the Drag Queen, who ultimately went on to win this challenge and the entire season, but her charisma while performing was undeniable.
Eating Fruit Snacks
When a backstage video was released at the start of Season 8 that showed the queens waiting to enter the workroom for the very first time, fans got their first taste of Thorgy’s quirky personality. The moment, which just consisted of her giggling in a dressing room while eating fruit snacks, seemed like just a forgettable blip in the timeline of the season, but viewers clearly found it relatable. “Thorgy Thor fruit snacks” is the most searched phrase when Googling the Season 8 queen.

Frida Kahlo Dance Moves
During a Season 8 mini-challenge, RuPaul brought musician AB Soto into the workroom to have the queens dance to the duo’s single, “Cha Cha Bitch” (available on iTunes). While everyone did the track justice, it was Thorgy Thor gyrating to the beat while serving Frida Kahlo realness that stuck in our minds. And most importantly, it had Mama Ru in stitches.
What She’s Been up to Since Her Season Ended:
Thorgy got in her head too much during Season 8 and it prevented fans from seeing all she truly has to offer. The queen is actually a classically trained musician and was able to showcase her violin skills while touring the world after her Drag Race run came to an end. Thorgy had an even bigger opportunity to shine after appearing on Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle, making a surprise cameo as a violinist in the ninth episode of the recently released third season.
