The highly-anticipated South Park: The Fractured But Whole finally has a release date after a lengthy delay that sent fans crying. You’ll be able to get in on the fart-powered superhero action later this year.

Well, actually quite a bit later as the South Park: The Fractured But Whole release date is now set for October 17, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, which is nearly a year after it was originally meant to be launched.

Ubisoft has already delayed the game twice, first from December to Q1 2017 and then in February it was shifted to “sometime before March 2018”. Yesterday’s Ubisoft earnings call reiterated that messaging but now we definitely (or hopefully) know that it’s coming this year.

To celebrate the release date news, there’s a brand new game trailer and it’s as flatulence-filled as you’d hope.

In case you’ve missed the memo, South Park: The Fractured But Whole is the follow-up to 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. It follows Eric Cartman and friends as they attempt to combat the crime that’s on the rise in South Park. They create the superhero gang, Coon & Friends, with Cartman as their leader as The Coon.

You play again as the New Kid and you’ll be given the option to give yourself a backstory, assemble your unique costume and harness your powerful farts as attacks and even for flight.

There’s an all-new grid-based combat system along with a revamped looting and crafting system so you can bring your own gear into battle.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be available in four editions: Standard, Gold, Steelbook Gold and Collector’s on PS4, Xbox One and PS4, with anyone pre-ordering nabbing themselves a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth that they can play now. You just need to redeem it before January 31, 2018.
