2K Games have been dominating the squared circle with WWE for years now, with those yearly releases being the only game in town for wrestling games on consoles. Wrasslin’ fans like myself expected another entry arriving this fall, though now we know exactly when it comes out and who will grace the cover. On October 11th, WWE 2K17 will feature the one behind 21-1, Brock Lesnar, as the cover athlete!

Brock has been all over the news in the last month, especially with his unprecedented return to the Octagon at UFC 200, the first ever appearance of an active WWE competitor in a UFC fight. And now, in the lead-up to his fight with Mark Hunt and a promised return at August’s SummerSlam event, Brock and his famous Suplex City are front and center in WWE 2K17.

Of course, this cover opportunity might come with some coupled with some bad luck. Earlier this year EA’s UFC game featured MMA superstars Connor McGregor and Ronda Rousey on the cover. Both were dominant fighters and both faced stunning defeats after getting on the box art for a video game. Could the same risk face The Beast now that he’s on a video game box?

WWE 2K17 is out on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and 360 on October 11th.
