The Game Awards is a yearly event that brings together a diverse group of game developers, players, and notable names from pop culture to celebrate and advance gaming’s position as the most immersive, challenging, and inspiring form of entertainment. It’s a huge celebration of our industry as they recognize and uphold creative and technical excellence in the global video game and e-sports industry.
This year, several big announcements were made during the event, such as the reveal of the Xbox Series X – which is the next generation Xbox coming holiday 2020. Some other notable game announcements include Surgeon Simulator 2, The Wolf Among Us 2, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Dark Alliance, and two new League of Legends spinoff games!
Below, you can find a list of this years’ winners from every category. The biggest surprise from The Game Awards 2019 has to be the indie game Disco Elysium, which won Fresh Indie Game, Best Independent Game, Best Narrative, and Best Role-Playing Game. We’ve also included wiki links to all the winners for your convenience.
