  • Premiere date: May 19
  • Studio: Haoliners Animation League and Studio LAN
  • Genre(s): Comedy, Superpower

The adventures of Ossan, also known as Old Man, continues in To Be Heroine. The indie anime series follows Ossan a handsome yet ill-groomed man who lives with his straightforward and unyielding teenage daughter, Min-chan.

One day, Ossan gets pulled into a toilet and given the task to save the Earth as a hero. But, he would have to pay the price. To protect the planet, he must give up his good looks and transform into a chubby, unattractive man when he turns into a hero. Now his journey as a hefty-looking superhero begins.

Titled initially as To Be Hero 2 back in 2017, the creators have since change it to To Be Heroine. Perhaps to indicate another character will be the main character. On top of that, the series will only have seven episodes long, but each will be 24 minutes long.

While there isn’t much more information about Future, the graphics and trailers do show some fighting scenes that will get fans excited for the new movie.

The last movie, Digimon Adventure tri. 5: Coexistence, has left fans with a lot of questions. Where will the DigiDestined end up after Future? Will they perish or do they have a future? And what will happen to Meiko and Meicoomon? Hopefully, Future will have the answers when it premieres this May.
