Sail the high seas, fight pirates, and trade across the world with Windward, a newly released title from Tasharen Entertainment, Inc. This action-filled sandbox game is now available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux users. In partnership with the developers, Gamepedia is proud to announce the Official Windward Wiki, where you’ll find tons of information about the game’s ships, talents, factions, and more.
In Windward, the game grows progressively more difficult the farther away you venture from the starting area. You’ll become the prey of loot-hungry pirates, but combat experience will help you unlock new talents and abilities to help defend yourself. Trade with towns, complete quests, and search for ship upgrades in a vast, beautiful world. In Windward, the possibilities for adventure are endless. Additional game features include:
- Procedurally Generated World – At the start of the game, a procedural world will be created that’s completely unique to you.
- Higher Risks, Better Rewards – The game becomes more difficult the farther you venture, but the rewards also grow. All you have to do is avoid those notorious pirates!
- Unique Ship Upgrades – Customize your ship to your liking. Would you prefer a fast-traveling Schooner or a heavy Galleon that’s best for trading? It’s up to you.
- Fair AI – You and the AI will be bound by the same rules: they have sight and must explore the map before they know what’s there. As you become more fearsome, the AI will take notice. Some will go out of their way to avoid you, while others will follow you in your adventures.
- Multiplayer – Experience the vast oceans solo or co-op.
