Transformers: Rise of The Beasts Command and Convert Optimus Primal

See at Amazon – $87.49 ($125)

We get it, you just don’t have that much time during the day to physically rearrange a chunk of plastic from its default Cybertronian native mode and into a robot in disguise. That’s where this version of Optimus Primal arrives to save the day, as it features animatronic functions that allow it to shift between forms almost instantly. The real kicker here? You can perform this function using nothing but your voice and watch as the Maximal leader transforms right before your eyes in a flurry of lights, sounds, and animated motions.

Transformers and Jurassic Park: Dilophocon and JP-12 two-pack

See at Amazon – $64.49 ($75)

Welcome, to the Transformers and Jurassic Park collaboration! We’ve seen some terrific crossovers between Transformers and various brands over the years–like an Optimus Prime Nike, Google it–but this particular collaboration was 65 million years in the making. At first glance, two-pack of figures looks like the perfect material to recreate an iconic scene from the classic Steven Spielberg film as it includes a Jurassic Park Jeep and a Dilophosaurus.

Plot twist: These are actually figures of JP-12 and Dilophocon, and yes you can transform them into their Autobot and Decepticon robot modes. Alongside two great bots, this 30th anniversary celebration of Jurassic Park comes with a shaving cream canister, embryo containment unit, rain hat, venom blast effect, and two blaster accessories.

Transformers Generations Collaborative: Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker and GI Joe Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson

See at Amazon – $48 ($69)

Yo Joe! Two of the most iconic toy properties of the ’80s finally meet in this team-up, as you get both a Bumblebee Transformer and a Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson figure that is a retro blast from the past. Bumblebee has also been given a GI Joe makeover, and this version of the plucky Autobot scout can transform into an A.W.E. Striker dune buggy that Striker can sit in. For collectors who fondly remember these toylines, they’ll no doubt appreciate the attention to detail in this boxset that sports classic ’80s Transformers and GI Joe toy packaging with retro artwork.

Transformers Generations Legacy: Wreck and Rule Collection Autobot Springer

See at Amazon – $23.49 ($34)

Springer has long been a fan-favorite Transformer, as this Autobot is always up for a scrap and he’s a rare triple-changer figure that’ll give your fingers a workout when you start shifting between modes. This version of the frontline soldier is easier on the digits, but he’s still an iconic member of the Cybertron resistance even with fewer steps attached to his transformation process. In his robot mode, he’s a brave adventurer armed with a sword and blaster, but if you need to cover some ground quickly, you can switch between aerial and land assault vehicles.

Transformers Generations Legacy: Wreck and Rule Autobots Impactor and Spindle

See at Amazon– $31.49 ($45)

Talk about your odd couple, as this twin-pack of Transformer Autobots are a combo of military-grade firepower and ancient savagery. From the Generations toyline, Impactor and Spindle are reimagined as Wreckers who are called in for the most dangerous missions. Impactor, who transforms into a tank, is legendary for his unyielding strength and bravery as leader of the Wreckers, while new recruit Spindle will charge into battle in either his boney robot mode or fossilized dinobot form.

Transformers Generations Legacy: Wreck and Rule Autobot Twin Twist

See at Amazon – $17.49 ($25)

One of the neat things with Hasbro’s Wreck and Rule collection–besides having great figures as seen above–is that by collecting all five figures you’ll get the parts needed to create the Wreckers hammer, that can be assembled and displayed. The next bot you’ll want on this list is easily Twin Twist, a loose cannon armed with bigger cannons and ready for a fight. His robot mode is a terrific and heavily-armed Autobot, and when he needs to initiate some all-terrain action, you can transform him into a colorful drill tank. This redeco of his Titans Return release retains his headmaster gimmick, allowing you to remove his noggin and transform it into a little bot that can pilot him in vehicle mode.

Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Optimus Prime

See at Amazon – $23.49 ($34)

You can never go wrong with Optimus Prime, and as expected, the Autobot leader is a fantastic addition to any Transformers collection. This version of Autobot commander hails from the War for Cybertron: Siege toyline, and mixes the G1 appeal of the original Optimus design with some modern styling. At his Matrix of Leadership heart, he’s still a tough combatant who can transform into his iconic truck mode, but for an extra touch, you can flip his wheels up and turn him into a hovertruck. Additionally, he’s armed with a blaster, battle axe, and multiple ports that you can plug more weapons into.

Transformers: Robots in Disguise Ultra Bee Combiner

See at Amazon – $24.49 ($35)

What’s better than one new Transformer toy? Four of them, all of which can be combined to form one mighty Autobot warrior that’ll send Decepticons and Predacons scrambling for the hills, that’s what! While this particular figure is from an older animated series, the core idea is still solid and the execution of it is brilliant. You’ll get Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe, and Grimlock in this package, and within a few steps, you can mash them all together to create the Ultra Bee Combiner.

Transformers Legacy: Knock-Out

See at Amazon – $17.49 ($25)

Transformers: Legacy has put an impressive spin on classic characters, and for anyone looking to add a sinister Decepticon to their ranks, Knock-Out is a must-have. Insidious and stylish, the Transformers Prime Universe Knock-Out figure comes with an Energon shield accessory that attaches as the tip of his battle spear. He can transform into a sleek sports car and his battle spear can also be broken up into extra weapons.

At the end of this day, one kid-friendly toy shall stand, one easy-to-transform action figure shall fall! This twin-pack of Transformer figures featuring eternal foes Optimus Prime and Megatron are perfect for younger members of the family, as they’re easy to transform, have wonderfully bright colors, and impressively detailed sculpts for this price point. Optimus Prime converts into his truck mode in just seven steps, while Megatron can shift into his battle tank mode in a mere eight steps.

Transformers Toys Heroes and Villains Bumblebee and Starscream

See at Amazon – $19.49 ($28)

Continuing on the theme above, this two-pack adds the right-hand bots of Optimus Prime and Megatron to your collection. While Bumblebee is a brave and valiant scout who’ll leap into battle without a second thought, Starscream is his polar opposite, a cowardly Decepticon who Megatron has to keep a constant eye on. Both figures are easy to transform, and with Bumblebee, you can quickly shift him into his iconic Corvette vehicle mode. Starscream takes to the skies as a fighter jet, a mode perfect for the Seeker as he can quickly turn tail and flee when a battle looks lost.
