Annabelle is back again, and this time she’s returning to where it began for the Conjuring Universe franchise in Annabelle Comes Home.
Unlike the storylines in Annabelle or Annabelle Creation, the third film in the Annabelle series ties things much more directly into The Conjuring films that begat it, as we center on Judy Warren (Mckenna Grace), the young daughter of Lorraine and Ed Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, reprising their roles from The Conjuring films). With her parents away, Judy is left in the care of her babysitter, Mary Ellen (Madison Iseman). But Mary Ellen’s friend, Daniela (Katie Sarife) is going to take an ill-advised detour into the Warren family’s locked room of haunted artifacts, and open up a case holding a doll that you really, really shouldn’t open.
Fandom recently sat down with Annabelle Comes Home writer/director Gary Dauberman and stars Grace, Iseman, and Sarife, to discuss the new chapter in the film and why we’re so intrigued by stories about our toys coming to life, in a month that has also seen the release of both Toy Story 4 and Child’s Play.
Watch the video above to see the full interview, including what the cast and director had to say when given questions from Fandom’s audience about the real doll the Annabelle series is based on – which the actors are much more eager to encounter than their director is…
Annabelle Comes Home is now playing.
