Disney+ offers incredible access to both the Marvel and Disney canon of films. It got us thinking: what if you wanted have a double feature movie night? How could you pair up classic Disney films with the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

We’ve come up with ten double features that we think would make for a great night of movie-watching. And we’ve even given reasons as to what order you should watch them in!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves & Iron Man

If you’re scratching your head on why these two go together, it’s simple: These are the entries that kicked off their respective cinematic universes. Where Iron Man ushered in a connected world of superheroes, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves brought the magical world of Disney animation to the big screen. Two of the biggest cultural milestones in film history are available on Disney+ and they make for a fine double feature.

This one is best to approach chronologically. Start off with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and end things with Iron Man. It’s great to see the evolution of these two worlds from where they started. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Moana & Thor

Need a double dose of stories about godlike beings who need to learn a lesson in humility? Moana and Thor offer a wonderful pairing. They’re both filled with incredible magic and humor that make them work in tandem as big fantasy epics.

Start with Moana since it’s a great way to get the mood going and will act as an upbeat lead-in for Thor. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Robin Hood & Guardians of the Galaxy

Which movie featuring a band of lovable outlaws is your favorite? When it comes to Disney and Marvel, we’ve got to go with Robin Hood and Guardians of the Galaxy. Heck, they even both feature talking animals!

Kick this double feature off with Robin Hood so its folksy music and charm gets things off on the right foot. As fun as Guardians of the Galaxy is, it starts on a bit of a downer note. Save that for later. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Captain Marvel & Frozen

When you look at the Marvel movies and think about strong female characters, it’s no question that Captain Marvel comes out on top. And when you look at the Disney canon, Elsa from Frozen is a top contender. Why not gives these two a back-to-back watch?

Captain Marvel should be your first watch, unless you want to have “Let It Go” stuck in your head while Carol Danvers is beating up the bad guys. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Doctor Strange & Fantasia

Disney is no stranger to weirdness, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe got weird when it introduced magic in Doctor Strange. So, because they both feature sorcerers, why not pair the good doctor with Fantasia? Both movies do some really experimental things with their visuals and are a treat for the eyes.

Doctor Strange is a good first run for this combo. It’s bizarre but it’s somehow less weird than Fantasia. That’s a good second feature to come down with. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Pinocchio & Avengers: Age of Ultron

There is actually a Marvel movie that directly references a Disney movie, so we had to include them on this list. We’re talking about Pinocchio and Avengers: Age of Ultron where Ultron himself sings “I’ve Got No Strings” from Pinocchio. Since Ultron considers himself a puppet that’s been freed, this is a good yin and yang double feature.

Watch Pinocchio first so the reference to “I’ve Got No Strings” has some added weight. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Ant-Man & A Bug’s Life

Want to watch the best of the insect world through the Disney/Marvel lens? Give Ant-Man and A Bug’s Life the double feature treatment. They both showcase the wonders of the miniature world and are just two really fun, sweet little movies in their respective canons.

Ant-Man should be up first since it also spends time in the normal-sized world. Save A Bug’s Life for second so you can end the night in tiny glee. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Toy Story & Captain America: Civil War

What happens when two friends end up battling against each other because of their beliefs? Find out by watching both Toy Story and Captain America: Civil War. These are big ticket movies in their respective libraries and some might argue they are the cream of the crop. Sounds like a good reason to pair them up.

Since Toy Story has Woody and Buzz starting off as rivals and become friends by the end, put that one on first and follow things up with Captain America: Civil War to see an already established friendship devolve over the course of the movie. (Watch both now on Disney+)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest & Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

How about doubling up two sequels? If we’re going to do that, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 seem like good bedfellows. Why? both movies are epic expansions on their originals and they both feature a lead character discovering what happened to their father.

Maybe start things off with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest since that’s definitely the denser and darker movie. It’s good to leave the brighter movie for second. (Watch both now on Disney+)

The Incredibles & The Avengers

Let’s end things with a team of team-up movies! The Incredibles and The Avengers are two of the best superhero movies of all time, and their team dynamic makes them a perfect match-up for each other.

This is one where either movie would make a great first watch, but we’d like to end this list the way we started it: begin with the Disney film and end with the Marvel one. (Watch both now on Disney+)
