Have you always wanted to explore Tamriel, but have been hesitant to pay before making the jump? Well, the team behind The Elder Scrolls Online are, once again, giving you the chance to play the game for free, for a limited time only.
To celebrate QuakeCon 2023, taking place from August 10 — August 13 in Dallas, Texas, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) will be free to play for 11 days (August 10 — August 21). The free play event is not exclusive to any console so you can jump into ESO for free across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. Millions – and we mean millions – of people have and continue to uncover Tamriel’s secrets, and now’s your chance to join them.
Of course, a game as storied as ESO might seem intimidating for those who have never played before, but fear not. Having no experience with ESO will actually benefit you — you’ll have no preconceived notions of how the game should be played, allowing you the freedom to discover its magic by yourself. When you begin to learn the ins and outs of the game’s wondrous lore, you won’t want to put it down.
The best part about ESO is that there’s a near-infinite amount of ways to play. Everyone’s journey through Tamriel leads them down different paths, and uncovers different secrets.
You can team up with friends to take on daunting dragons and dark forces in epic dungeons and raids. Perhaps you crave intense PvP combat, and want to prove yourself in massive battlegrounds in Cyrodiil and beyond.
As you dive deeper into the world of ESO, you can choose the profession you want to follow. Blacksmithing or alchemy? Woodworking or enchanting? The choice is yours. In fact, not every ESO player’s journey has to be jammed with battles. Master the art of fishing to try and score resources to build EXP drinks, or embrace your inner interior designer and deck out your very own Tamriel abode.
Once you’ve found the ESO niche that’s right for you, you can upgrade your account and experience entirely new worlds. The Necrom chapter allows players to unlock a brand new class — The Arcanist — and delivers two new areas to explore: the Telvanni Peninsula and the enigmatic city of Necrom.
Head to The Elder Scrolls Online’s website now to learn more about this not-to-be-missed Free Play event. Tamriel isn’t going to explore itself, after all.
