From Lionsgate, the studio that wishes the YA franchises of the 2010s could last forever, comes a new Hunger Games prequel you’d never know was basically a musical based on the trailers. And it’s not the only movie in the last six months to pull this trick (we’re looking at you, new Mean Girls).
This week, Honest Trailers pays tribute to The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, a tale about how Coriolanus Snow grew into failed, toppled fascist driven by greed from a young fascist driven by father bothers… and also the carefree, singing pixie girl he fumbled as a teen.
