The latest Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer arrived Monday evening, delving deeper into a possible devil’s deal made between Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang and Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror – a dangerous arrangement that would potentially give Scott back the five years he lost with his daughter, Cassie, during “the Snap.”
The trailer not only seemed much darker than the previous one, but also a much grimmer story for Ant-Man movies in general, even promising the start of a “new dynasty” (hinting towards Phase Six movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty). So how did that impact what pages people were checking out at Fandom’s MCU Wiki ? Let’s dive in!
Kang Still Conquers
The MCU Wiki spiked 10% in general, while Kang, who was the most viewed character page after the first trailer a few months ago, still hung in strong at #2.
And with many still wondering how this Kang fits with what was teased in the Loki Season 1 finale, the character page for He Who Remains also made a notable showing, with readers wanting to check back in with that particular variant version of Kang, who Majors portrayed in his MCU debut.
M.O.D.O.K., Mo’ Problems
The big winner this time around, however, was M.O.D.O.K. This new Quantumania trailer gave fans their first live-action glimpse of the Marvel baddie, outside of those who saw him in the trailer exclusively screened at San Diego Comic Con last summer.
M.O.D.O.K. was the #1 character page across the entire MCU wiki following the trailer’s release, with a giant 2,700% jump in pageviews. And with this surge came many questions about how M.O.D.O.K. fits into this particular Ant-Man story, since a huge portion of it is set in the Quantum Realm.
Traditionally, and even in the Hulu animated comedy (where he was voiced by Patton Oswalt) M.O.D.O.K. is George Tarleton, a bizarrely mutated member — and sometimes leader — of Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M. – which appeared in Iron Man 3, led by Guy Pierce’s Aldrich Killian). Fans are assuming though that this MCU version of M.O.D.O.K. is actually…
Buzz Buzz!
…Corey Stoll’s Yellowjacket from the first Ant-Man movie. In one part of the trailer, you can see M.O.D.O.K.’s human face and it certainly looks like Stoll, who had already been rumored to return in this film.
Because of this, and because Stoll’s nefarious Darren Cross was crushed inside his suit and sent into the Quantum Realm (presumably dead at the time), both the Yellowjacket page and even Corey Stoll’s page also saw notable bumps, with Stoll’s landing just outside the Top 10.

Murray for Hollywood
Finally, it’s amusing to note here that Bill Murray’s Quantumania character, Krylar, still landed in the Top 10, and was the #5 most searched for character on the MCU Wiki, despite not being shown in the new trailer at all (he did appear very briefly in the first trailer). It’s a testament to the power of someone as high profile as Murray portraying a notably obscure Marvel comics character, who only appeared once in an issue of Incredible Hulk from 1972.
