During Day 2 of the Nintendo Treehouse E3 event, Monster Hunter Generations received a live gameplay session of an upcoming demo. During the broadcast, four players banded together in a party and took down an Arena quest against Malfestio, an enormous bright blue owl.
The demo encompasses three major boss fights, with monsters named Great Maccao, Malfestio, and Narcacuga. The demo supports local and online multiplayer for up to four players as well.
Also as a part of the Treehouse event, Monster Hunter Generations received a new gameplay trailer aptly named “Deviant Monsters.”
Want to get your hands on the demo early? Here are a few ways you can do so. First, select 3DS owners will be mailed two demo codes each. Nintendo stated that the codes will be going out soon, so keep your eyes peeled. The demo can also be obtained in the E3 2016 Humble Bundle Digital Ticket. The demo is located in the $4 tier for players who don’t want to wait and play as soon as possible.
For everyone else, the demo will be available worldwide for download on the 3DS eShop starting on June 30, 2016.
Monster Hunter Generations will be released in the U.S. and Europe on July 15, 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS.
