Once upon a time, the Fast & Furious franchise was all about street racing. Fast cars with roaring engines peeling down roads for the glory of competition.

Now, the mega-grossing global saga has expanded into something much bigger, with our speedy heroes sometimes working with the government to thwart worldwide catastrophes planned by sneering super-villains.

It still has a lot of cars though. Yes, most every clandestine move Dom Toretto and his team – er, family – make still involve a ton of “vroom vroom.” With the spinoff film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw now in theaters, here are some of the franchise’s most famous, and infamous, vehicles. No, not all of them are actually cars, but suffice to say, as you would with any mode of transportation, you should keep your head clear and don’t drive impaired when taking control of any these F&F rides.

Dom’s 1970 Dodge Charger

(The Fast and the Furious)

This classic car was pretty worse for wear by the conclusion of the original film, in the aftermath of Dominic Teretto racing to escape Brian, after finding out the truth about his undercover cop pal.

The Charger was Dom’s father’s car, which had been tirelessly rebuilt and never used. It’s the reason Dom loves American muscle cars and still frequently uses them to stop cyber-terrorists. And while it was totaled at the end of that first film, it would be rebuilt once more and continue to be Dom’s most-used and recognizable car.

Brian’s 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse

(The Fast and the Furious)

It didn’t exactly have a long shelf-life in the first film, but its luminous green aura, as the ride that brought Brian O’Conner to the dance, and into his first race against Dom, makes it the car many fans immediately think of when they fondly reminisce about the Fast roots of this Furious franchise.

Brian loses his race, and ownership of the Eclipse and then the car itself is destroyed soon after by Johnny Tran. But the car’s legacy as Brian’s gateway into Dom’s family makes it one special ride.

Suki’s 2001 Honda S2000

(2 Fast 2 Furious)

As standout car from the hyper-colorful 2 Fast 2 Furious, Suki’s hot pink airbrushed Honda may have lost Tej’s race but it went on to help Brian and Roman outwit the cops at the end of the movie – and then even made a few cameos in big music videos.

It was never used to foil the devious designs of a malicious hacktivist bent on world domination, but it still was a super-rad ride — complete with the anime-inspired avatar on Suki’s dash monitor — that wildly stood out from the pack.

Han’s 1997 Mazda RX-7

(The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift)

Proving that tragedy can be more memorable than triumph, the Mazda RX-7 was the sweet car sweet Han died in – over and over as it turned out, given we’ve now seen this event in three of the films. In Tokyo Drift, it seemed as though it was an accidental sideswipe that caused the explosion that took Han from us, before the big “Deckard Shaw actually did it on purpose” reveal we got in Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7.

Either way, the distinctive orange and black car Han used to help teach Sean how to drift sadly became Han’s tomb. Though we now cross our fingers for it to show up again in a future scene that we envision shows Han actually nearly making it out of the car before it explodes, only for yet another mercenary, worse than Shaw, shows up to reallybe the one to kill him… or did he?!

Brian’s 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

(Fast & Furious)

When Brian fell back into the criminal underworld in the fourth film, during an undercover gig that once again eventually led to him ditching his law enforcement job for life on the run, he sported a blue Skyline (the O’Connor specialty) that he had Frankenstein’d together from two different Nissans.

Sure, the Skyline eventually exploded during a drug deal gone sideways, but before it did Brian memorably raced it through Los Angeles to win the favor of a diabolical drug lord he was working to bust.

Owen Shaw’s Flip Car

(Fast & Furious 6)

Dom, Brian, and company found themselves crazily out-matched during their first run in/drive in with Owen Shaw’s crew in the sixth film. A big part of their struggle to overcome Owen were the madcap Flip Cars driven by both Owen and his “Female Brian” right hand woman, Vegh.

Specially designed by a black market mechanic, these babies could knock out military convoys by simply going head to head with their target and making any and all enemies soar off into smashy, fiery oblivion.

2013 W Motors Lykan Hypersport

(Furious 7)

AKA the “Building Jumper.” AKA, the luxury super car that Dom and Brian had to boost from a billionaire’s Abu Dhabi penthouse because it had a special microchip inside of it.

The Lykan Hypersport may not have gotten a ton of road time but it did see its fair share of…sky time? From hundreds of feet up, in fact, as Dom drove the car out of the penthouse window, to escape Deckard Shaw and his men, and sent it crashing down into the skyscraper next door. And then out of that building and into a third. Eventually it plows out of the third building, exploding on the ground below.

Cipher’s Submarine

(Fate of the Furious)

The hijacked Russian nuclear submarine in F8 gave the series its most thrilling third act yet, as Dom’s family raced across ten miles of frozen water to escape Cipher’s squad of psychos.

This particular sub took the form of massive monster, erupting up through the ice and chasing our heroes at speeds seemingly impossible for a modern submarine to travel. Look, why let actual science ruin a perfectly great action sequence that also includes harpoons and heat-seeking missiles?

Brixton’s Motorcycle

(Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw)

Cybernetically-enhanced evildoer Brixton Lore needed a vehicle as wired and enhanced as he was. That being the case, he chased down Hobbs and Shaw using a modified Triumph Speed Triple, re-skinned and souped-up so that it looked properly futuristic and foreboding – and programmed so it could speed right up him, rider-free, whenever he needed to jump on it.

On top of that, the bike essentially transformed itself during a chase through London, with the center rotating sideways to allow Brixton to effortlessly ride underneath a truck while pursuing his targets. A proper vehicle for a proper cyborg super-soldier!

Fandom and NHTSA reminds you that you knew the risks of driving drunk. There could be a crash. People could get hurt, or killed. You could get arrested, incur huge legal expenses and possibly even lose your job. You knew the consequences of driving drunk and you were wrong when you said it was no big deal. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. #drivesober
