The official trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie has just dropped and features a star-studded voice cast!
Do you recognize Emily Blunt as the broken-horned unicorn Tempest Shadow? She’s channeled icy before in The Devil Wears Prada and The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
Or her boss, the evil Storm King? Hint, he’s played a sharp-toothed bad guy before in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Yep, it’s Liev Schreiber!
The animated feature follows My Little Pony’s Princess Twilight Sparkle as she saves the kingdom of Equestria from the Storm King’s threat. Gaming fans should recognize her voice actor: Tara Strong is the voice of Rikku in the Final Fantasy video games and also Harley Quinn in the Batman: Arkham series.
Rounding out the cast is Zoe Saldana (what isn’t she in?) as talking parrot pirate Captain Celaeno, Kristin Chenoweth as Princess Skystar, a sea pony that transforms her land counterparts, Michael Pena, Taye Diggs, and even Sia (her character’s face is masked liked hers).
The colorful, cupcake-filled adventure features original music and songs performed by Sia, Diggs, Saldana, Chenoweth, and Blunt.
Check out the trailer and see if you can identify all the voices.
My Little Pony: The Movie opens October 6, 2017.
