The Commuter (read FANDOM’s review) is a fast-paced thriller that takes place over the course of one long and difficult train ride. Michael MacCauley (Liam Neeson) is tasked with discovering the identity of one of the passengers on the train and eliminating them. If he doesn’t, his own family will be killed.

It’s a tense setup that’s made only more nerve-wracking thanks to the claustrophobic interior of the train. It takes quite a lot of production savvy to make a train set work, and the talented people behind The Commuter knew that the film would live or die based on this setting. With that in mind, they went to work on manufacturing a train set that would be 100% believable but also manageable enough to be used in a variety of situations and scenarios.

Watch the exclusive clip above to see all the dedicated work the filmmakers put in to make the set work. You will also get a sneak peek at some movie magic when it comes to making a little seem like a whole lot more. If you think there was an entire train that had to be used, you’re in for a pleasant and revelatory surprise.

And make sure to check out The Commuter, available on digital platforms April 3 and 4K, Blu-ray and DVD April 17.
