It will be a day long remembered, as The Mandalorian is finally getting released on physical media, with both the first and second seasons of the Disney+ series coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray this coming week in impressive Steelbook packaging. These releases include brand new bonus features and Fandom has an exclusive first look at a behind-the-scenes clip from the Season 1 discs, focused on the weapons used by the characters.
Check out the clip above, as Property Master Josh Roth discusses his approach to the weapons featured on the series, including those used by the Imperial Remnants seen on the show, such as the Death Troopers and Incinerator Stormtrooper. Roth explains how the fact that The Mandalorian is set so close to the original trilogy in the Star Wars timeline encouraged him to use the same techniques as those films when it came to the props, making sure that it could all blend together seamlessly as he collaborated with Executive Producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Both Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete First Season and Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete Second Season are available on December 12, 2023.
