The Fan Contributor Program (sign up here) has grown in leaps and bounds over the first few months of Fandom, and has led to some of the most engaging and heavily trafficked articles in our short history. For those who don’t know what we’re doing with the program, one of the major components is to give opportunities to our readers and Wikia members to contribute editorial content and allow their voice to be heard by our audience. As members become more adept and comfortable, new opportunities arise for them.
This summer, select Fan Contributors will be joining us for special events in San Francisco and Poland. They’ll also be participating in upcoming conventions, junkets, and set visits. A great example was this past week’s WonderCon (see our complete coverage of show here) where two Fan Contributors were conducting interviews and covering press lines. Additionally, a video crew was on hand documenting it all.
The video above represents the tip of the iceberg both in what our Fan Contributors will be doing and the quality and diversity of our video features moving forward. Enjoy, and if you feel so inclined, join us! We’re going to have a lot of fun.
