About this Role

Fandom is growing! Fandom is seeking an experienced and operations-savvy Manager, Video Production to lead studio execution and daily production workflows for our Fandom Media video team. Reporting into the VP Video & Social, you’ll oversee in-office video shoots, lead a team of video producers, and work cross-functionally with Post Production, Editorial, and Content Ops.

This highly hands-on role requires strong leadership, technical oversight, and familiarity with production systems, creative planning, and fan-first content execution.

You Will...

  • Production Oversight: Manage daily studio operations and video production schedules from pre-pro to shoot to post. Ensure high-quality, on-time video delivery across editorial, branded, and social video content. Monitor production timelines and budget usage to maintain cost-effective execution
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of in-house producers and freelancers, providing guidance, support, and daily prioritization. Drive a high-performing culture with strong communication, feedback, and mentorship. Maintain clear expectations, creative vision alignment, and production readiness
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Post Production, Editorial, Social, and Branded Content on integrated planning. Translate creative goals and content plans into executable production strategies. Serve as the production liaison for post-production and cross-functional initiatives
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and evolve production workflows, systems, and tooling that enable speed and quality. Own studio readiness and technical equipment use in the SF office. Track KPIs tied to production volume, on-time delivery, and quality benchmarks

You Have...

  • 5+ years of experience in digital video production
  • 2+ years managing in-office hybrid producers or studio teams of 4 or more
  • Strong grasp of production workflows, shoot logistics, studio operations, and team scheduling
  • Experience in entertainment and/or gaming content development, with a pulse on industry trends
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across fast-moving teams
  • Skilled communicator with a proven ability to lead and coach
  • Hands-on familiarity with production software, asset management systems, and studio equipment

Bonus Points...

  • Background in branded content or livestream production
  • Passion for pop culture, video games, and digital fandom communities
  • Working knowledge of post-production timelines and collaboration tools
