Fallout 4’s “Automatron” DLC has only been out a week, but people are already hard at work uncovering all of its secrets, figuring out fun ways to troll the Mechanist, and using the new robot workbench to craft some insanely creative (and terrifying) robot companions.
We previously listed what we love about the new add-on and detailed how to craft some of the most deadly machines in the Commonwealth. Now, let’s take a look at some of the funniest fan responses to the new “Automatron” DLC so far.
Giant Robot Battles
After seeing the first footage of “Automatron,” one of the first things I thought of was the mayhem and wanton destruction I could wreak on the Commonwealth with these souped up Battlebots on steroids. To that end, the add-on does not disappoint. These custom companions can bring the pain, and they often need to when going up against the Mechanist‘s robot army.
Not only can these robots deal out tons of damage, they can take a licking and keep on ticking as well.
Since the enemy robot horde isn’t going to go down easily, you are going to need an equalizer and every advantage you can get to go up against them. Perhaps this weapon — named after a man who knows a thing or two about fighting robots — will help.
There is, however, one secret robot weapon that is impossible to overcome.
When faced with such devastating odds, sometimes it is best to embrace your destiny.

These Robots Look Familiar
Whenever a game comes out with a robust creation toolset, fans are always quick to find ways to recreate their favorite characters from across pop culture. Fallout 4 “Automatron” is no exception, and we are already seeing some inspired creations. Here are just a few of my favorites so far.
WALL-E & EVE (WALL-E), & Samus Aran (Metroid) by MrKarnaax
Bender (Futurama) by Duck RubaDub
Dalek (Dr. Who) by Duck RubaDub
Big Daddy (Bioshock) by Duck RubaDub
Butter Robot (Rick and Morty) by Duck RubaDub
C-3PO and R2-D2 (Star Wars) by Father
Sexy Codsworth
As Kotaku noted a few days after the launch of “Automatron,” a new, more svelte version of Codsworth has become a sensation. With just a quick swap of his thrusters for a pair of Assaultron legs and the addition of some armor plating, you too can create your own “Sexy Codsworth.”
If you think this modification looks entirely useless and silly, then perhaps this amazing video will change your mind.
