Enough of the talk about Pokémon Go, because that’s hardly 2016’s only Pokémon game. The Nintendo 3DS will soon host the seventh generation of Pokémon in November with Pokémon Sun and Moon. It’ll be on sale worldwide on Nov. 18, introducing millions to the Alola region, a Hawaii-like world exploding with Pokémon Sun and Moon’s new Pokémon. And today came a new trailer for the game with lots of new information, including the painfully adorable Pokémon Sun and Moon Pikachu Z-Move. Take a look at the full video.
New Special Attacks
Let’s begin at the cutest part of the trailer, the newly introduced Pokémon Sun and Moon Pikachu Z-Move. In case you hadn’t heard about Z-Moves, they’re the new super powerful, once-per-battle attacks that are refreshing many classic Pokémon, including Snorlax and Pikachu. The Pokémon mascot’s Z-Move is a real crowd pleaser, with an adorable dance Pikachu does with his trainer. It’s so cute we’ve got to watch this on a loop.
Gosh, that Pikachu Z-Move is just the greatest, but it isn’t the only one. Eevee also has a new Z-Move too. The unique action adapts its ability to evolve into more creatures than just about any other. Eevee summons the power of all its later iterations to gain massive stat boosts. The Z-Move is (of course) called “Extreme Evoboost.”
Grooming Yourself and Your Pokémon
After showing off the new monsters that are exclusive to the two different versions of the game (learn about the new monsters here), it’s time to get all dressed up. First come details of how customizable your trainer is. You can continually change your hair, eye color, and clothing. Meanwhile, you can also groom your Pokémon to make them better in battle and happier in general. Modes like this have been in previous games, though this one is now called Pokémon Refresh.
As more and more information comes out, Pokémon Sun and Moon looks like the densest title in the series’ history. How much more will be announced before the Nov. 18 release date? We’ll just have to wait and see.
